Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) degree is a four-year professional degree programme launched by University Grants Commission (UGC) leading to enhance employability of the graduates and meet industry requirements gaining appropriate employment or becoming entrepreneurs. The B. Voc courses are designed to provide judicious mix of skills relating to a profession and appropriate content of General Education; to ensure that the students have adequate knowledge and skills, so that they are work ready at the end of the programme; to provide vertical mobility to students coming out of 10 +2. Such graduates apart from meeting the needs of local and national industry are also expected to be equipped to become part of the global workforce. Job opportunities for organic farming graduates are booming in India and globally, focusing on sustainability, certification, and training. The commodity boards of India -Spices Board, Tea Board, Coffee Board, etc emphasize sustainable practices in their plantations the transition to organic cultivation to meet international standards.

Upon graduation, B.Voc. Organic Farming students can pursue various career paths, including Agriculture extension inspectors, Agriculture extension executives, Subject Matter Specialists, Extension Inspectors, Experts in bio-pesticides and bio-fertilizers, Technical experts etc. and can also attend the central UPSC/State PSC for some high-level scientific posts. Key opportunities like Agronomists, Farm Managers, Organic Trainers, and Agricultural Scientists etc. Opportunities are also available in organic plantations of private companies like Kanan Devan, Harrisons, AVT, Himalaya, etc. Jobs are available in Research and Development team in agriculture industries (including seed, fertilizer, pesticides, and micro irrigation industries) to satisfy the farmer needs. They understand and market the technology to be transferred to farmers by way of demonstrations and training. They also coordinate and motivate the farmers to adapt to modern methods for good returns.
